Apple delays larger iPad - report

Apple will delay the start of manufacturing for a larger-screen version of its iPad tablet, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg. Production of the 12.9-inch iPad is now scheduled to start around September because of delays involving the supply of display panels, said one of the people. Apple had initially planned to begin making the larger version this quarter. The bigger tablet plan is part of company efforts to reinvigorate the iPad product line, where sales have declined for four straight quarters. The largest iPad currently on the market has a 9.7-inch display.
