Apple sells 3 million iPads in three days
Apple has announced it sold three million iPads in the first three days since the launch of its iPad mini and new iPad, double the previous first weekend milestone of 1.5 million Wi-Fi only models sold for the third-generation iPad in March. The Wi-Fi+Cellular versions of both the iPad mini and the newest iPad will ship in a few weeks in the US and in more countries later this year. Demand for the iPad mini exceeded the initial supply, and while many of the pre-orders have been shipped to customers, some are scheduled to be shipped later this month. The iPad mini with Wi-Fi comes in either white and silver or black and slate and is available in the US for USD 329 for the 16GB model, USD 429 for the 32GB model and USD 529 for the 64GB model. The new iPad with Wi-Fi is available in black or white for USD 499 for the 16GB model, USD 599 for the 32GB model and USD 699 for the 64GB model.
