Deutsche Telekom lifts revenues 6%, EBITDA 7.5% in Q1

Deutsche Telekom reported another solid first quarter, continuing from past boosted by operations in the US as well as success on the German market. Revenue advanced 5.8 percent from the year before to USD 18.6 billion while the adjusted EBITDA lifted 7.5 percent to EUR 5.6 billion. At T-Mobile US, revenue rose 11 percent; they went up 0.2 percent in Germany and 0.7 higher in the rest of Europe.

The net profit fell, as expected, to EUR 0.7 billion, because of the book gain last year from the sale of EE shares. The company said free cash flow went almost 50 percent higher to EUR 1.2 billion and that it upped its cash capex by 14.6 percent to EUR 3.2 billion.

Deutsche Telekom reiterated its full-year guidance. The company expects to report adjusted EBITDA of around EUR 22.2 billion and free cash flow of EUR 5.5 billion euros for the 2017 full year.
