Deutsche Telekom lifts revenues 6%, EBITDA 7.5% in Q1

Deutsche Telekom reported another solid first quarter, continuing from past boosted by operations in the US as well as success on the German market. Revenue advanced 5.8 percent from the year before to USD 18.6 billion while the adjusted EBITDA lifted 7.5 percent to EUR 5.6 billion. At T-Mobile US, revenue rose 11 percent; they went up 0.2 percent in Germany and 0.7 higher in the rest of Europe.

The net profit fell, as expected, to EUR 0.7 billion, because of the book gain last year from the sale of EE shares. The company said free cash flow went almost 50 percent higher to EUR 1.2 billion and that it upped its cash capex by 14.6 percent to EUR 3.2 billion.

Deutsche Telekom reiterated its full-year guidance. The company expects to report adjusted EBITDA of around EUR 22.2 billion and free cash flow of EUR 5.5 billion euros for the 2017 full year.

Deutsche Telekom has again raised its full-year outlook, after reporting solid growth in Q3 results, led by its activities in the US. Revenues rose 0.8 percent to EUR 18.3 billion, and adjusted EBITDA was up 3.3 percent to EUR 5.7 billion. On an organic basis, excluding notably the impact of the weaker dollar, revenues increased 3.3 percent and EBITDA 5.7 percent.

Net revenue increased 6 percent in the second quarter to EUR 18.89 billion. Sales rose 12.7 percent in the US to EUR 9.24 billion on continued strong customer growth, and revenues were up 0.6 percent in Germany to EUR 5.37 billion. In the rest of Europe, revenue grew 2.4 percent to EUR 2.86 billion, helped by currency effects.

T-Mobile Austria Q1 revenues up 9.6 percent

In the first quarter, T-Mobile Austria recorded a 9.6 percent increase in revenues to EUR 228 million. Total mobile customer base grew by 11.7 percent year-on-year to 4.713 million with both the pre-paid and contract segments growing.

Slovak Telekom Q1 revenues down by 2.1 percent

In the first quarter of 2017, Slovak Telekom recorded revenues of EUR 183 million, which is a 2.1 percent decrease year-on-year. The number of fixed line connections increased to 854,000 and the total number of mobile customers stabilised at 2.23 million. During the quarter, the operator lost 80,000 net contract customers, which was offset by the net addition of 85,000 pre-paid customers.

Makedonski Telekom Q1 revenues dip 1.4% to HUF 12.4bn

Makedonski Telekom ended the first quarter of 2017 with total revenues of HUF 12.4 billion, down 1.4 percent year-on-year, according to the financial results of parent Magyar Telekom. Magyar Telekom Group Q1 revenues up 1.6% to HUF 140 billion

Hungary's Magyar Telekom Group ended the first quarter of 2017 with total revenues of HUF 140.5 billion, up 1.6 percent year-on-year, driven by mobile data, equipment sales and SI/IT revenue growth. This excludes the results of Crnogorski Telekom, which, since the beginning of the year, are deconsolidated from the group results. Mobile revenues were HUF 74.3 billion (+2.7%), while fixed line revenues amounted to HUF 47.5 billion (-1.7%).

T-Mobile Czech Republic's Q1 revenues up 3.5 percent

T-Mobile Czech Republic reported Q1 revenues at EUR 237 million, which is a 3.5 percent growth compared with Q1 2016. EBITDA increased by 2 percent to EUR 100 million and the EBITDA margin slightly decreased to 42.2 percent. The operator recorded an increase in the number of fixed access lines to 143,000 and the total mobile customer base increased to 6.10 million (up by 1.2 percent).

T-Mobile NL lifts Q1 revenues over 5% on Go Unlimited, Thuis

T-Mobile Netherlands said first quarter revenues increased by 5.2 percent to EUR 341 million. The increase was entirely due to T-Mobile Thuis, which was fully included for the first time and contributed EUR 21 million. Mobile revenues declined by 1.2 percent to EUR 320 million.
