Facebook develops social network for workplace - report
Facebook is developing an office version of its social networking website. The new service would compete with sites such as LinkedIn. Dubbed 'Facebook at Work', the service is expected to allow office employees to chat with colleagues, connect with professional contacts and collaborate over documents, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. The new site will look very much like Facebook – with a newsfeed and groups – but will allow users to keep their personal profile separate from their work identity. Facebook declined to comment.

Over 8.73 million Dutch had the messaging app WhatsApp installed on their smartphones in September 2014, over 1 million more installs than one year ago. The number of downloads of Facebook Messenger more than doubled during this period. In September 2013 over 1.72 million smartphone users downloaded this messaging app, growing to 3.73 million twelve months later according to Telecompaper's quarterly Dutch Apps Market report.
