Two former HTC executives are starting a new smartphone marker targeting the European market. Michael Coombes is the former head of sales at HTC, and James Atkins was UK marketing chief for HTC. The new company is called Kazam and promises to deliver smartphones different from the current offering on the market. The exact details of the new phones were not announced, but Kazan said it will have a local approach and not be pursuing a 'one size fits all' strategy. The UK-based company said "Kazam is about stunning design, robust hardware and intuitive technology, underpinned by outstanding customer service". Its first products are expected to reach the market later this year.
