
HTC introduces One X+ with faster LTE, more storage

HTC announced the HTC One X+, a refreshed version of its HTC One X smartphone. The phone comes with the HTC Sense 4+ user interface and Android Jelly Bean OS, as well as a 1.7GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 64GB internal storage. HTC claims the LTE version of the new phone is up to 67 percent faster than its predecessor, while also coming with a better battery at 2,100mAh. The Sense 4+ UI also introduces a new Tap and Go function, which allows users to connect the phone and music to Beats speakers with a single tap, and adds a video hub, to group all video entertainment in a single place. In addition, the HTC One X+ comes with HTC Get Started, a new web service that guides the user through the set-up and personalisation process from a desktop web browser. The HTC One X+ will be available in Europe and North Asia from October and in South Asia from November. HTC announced a recommended retail price of EUR 675 for the phone in the Netherlands. North America will make a separate announcement regarding availability. The Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 4+ update is scheduled to begin rolling out for the HTC One S and HTC One X from October.
