MWC - Huawei heeft zijn eerste quadcore smartphone mondiaal geïntroduceerd tijdens het MWC: de Huawei Ascend D quad. Kern van de smartphone is de K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz met android 4.0 als OS. De smartphone heeft een 4,5-inch 720p HD touchscreen, een 8-megapixel camera aan de achterkant en een 1,3 MP camera aan de voorkant. Als onderdeel van de Ascend D-serie heeft Huawei ook de Ascend D quad XL (iets groter dan de Ascend D quad) en the Ascend D1 (dual core) smartphones geïntroduceerd.
