LG launches LTE Optimus Pad
LG has launched the LTE version of its Optimus Pad tablet, in its home market South Korea. The 8.9-inch tablet runs Android 2.3 and features a True HD IPS display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor and memory card slot for up to 32GB storage. It also comes with a 8 megapixel camera with full HD video recording, HDMI port, 6800 mAh battery and DLNA. The tab also comes with apps to sync controls and share media with other LG devices, such as smartphones and TVs. Details on pricing and availability were not released.

LG profits improve in Q1, despite further sales drop

LG lanceert eerste LTE-tablet

LG heeft zijn in Zuid-Korea eerste LTE-tablet gelanceerd, de Optimus Pad LTE. De tablet draait op Android 3.2 en heeft een nieuw scherm, een 1280x720 'True HD IPS' met 8,9-inch diagonaal. Hij beschikt verder over een 8 mp camera en een SD-card slot die 32 GB kaartjes kan lezen. Het bedrijf heeft nog niet aangekondigd wanneer de export begint.

LG sees Optimus LTE sales passing 1 mln this month

Results at LG Electronics' loss-making mobile phone division improved a "lot" in the fourth quarter, according to Park Jong-seok, CEO of the unit. KT launches LTE services

KT has become the third operator to launch LTE services in South Korea. Initially available in Seoul, the service will be expanded to cover around 90 percent of the population by April. The service uses the 1800MHz band, where KT recently shut down GSM services in order to launch 4G. LG has launched 'True HD IPS' display on the Optimus LTE smartphone in Seoul, South Korea. The smartphone's 4.5–inch True HD IPS display, developed in collaboration with LG Display, offers advanced resolution and clarity and shows colours in natural tones. True HD IPS display offers more information at a glance with genuine HD resolution, 329 ppi real RGB resolution, natural colours, automatic colour adjustments applied by LG's Mobile HD Graphic Engine and HD Movie Editor to create personalised HD videos.

LG Electronics has launched the Optimus LTE in South Korea. The handset, which supports LTE connectivity, features a 4.5-inch 'True HD IPS' display, which was developed by sister company LG Display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, and runs on Android 2.3. In addition, the device enables content sharing through HDMI and DLNA. Availability of the Optimus LTE in markets outside of Korea has not yet been determined.
