Orange Spain has announced the launch of the Mobile Connect service, allowing its customers to create and manage a secure mobile identity. The GSMA-promoted service is designed to simplify consumers' lives by offering a mobile phone-based authentication service that allows them to access websites and applications without the need for multiple passwords or usernames. Orange Spain is the first of the Orange Group's units to introduce the Mobile Connect service, enabling its users to securely access their customer area without having to introduce a password.
Orange added that its customers will ultimately be able to use their mobile phone ID to safely access mobile and digital services such as e-commerce, banking, health and digital entertainment, as well as e-government portals.
