Telenet, Voo partner for 3G licence bid - report
Two major cable operators in Belgium, Telenet and Voo, have partnered to bid for Belgium's fourth 3G licence on offer, sources familiar with the matter told the local news site Datanews. Telenet declined to comment. Earlier the regulator BIPT announced that just once candidate had registered interest in the licence by the deadline for applications.

Telenet en Voo samen naar Belgische 3G-veiling

Twee grote Belgisch kabelbedrijven, Telenet en Voo, gaan samen mee bieden voor de vierde Belgische 3G-licentie. Dat meldt de Belgische telecom nieuwssite Data News op basis van verschillende bronnen. Telenet wil niet reageren. Eerder vandaag werd bekend dat er zich slechts één kandidaat had gemeld voor de vierde licentie, terwijl er in de afgelopen maanden diverse partijen genoemd werden.

Belgian 3G licence gets 1 interested bidder

Only one candidate has registered interest in the fourth 3G licence on offer in Belgium. Regulator BIPT did not name the candidate. BIPT opened in March applications for the licence, and candidates had until 29 April to register. Currently Proximus, Base and Mobistar each have 3G licences. Cable operator Telenet has been seen as the favourite to get the fourth licence, but the company declined to comment.
