Trend Micro has launched a corporate venture fund to explore emerging technology markets. With an initial investment of USD 100 million, the fund will focus on startups developing ideas within 'hyper growth' markets, such as the Internet of Things (IoT).
Trend Micro’s fund will offer financial backing, access to global threat intelligence, strategic alliances, as well as its channel of more than 28,000 partners. In return, the companies will influence Trend Micro’s cybersecurity product planning across the company.
