Ziggo triple-play customer base grows to 1.14 mln in Q1

Dutch cable operator Ziggo said it registered 45,000 new triple-play customers in the first quarter, reaching a total of 1.14 million subscriptions for television, internet and telephony. The number of Dutch households with digital TV rose by 3.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2010. As a result, over two-thirds of Dutch TV households had a digital service, according to the quarterly monitor for the industry group Ketenoverleg Digitale Televisie. Digitale tv groeit door naar 6 miljoen huishoudens in 2011

Het aantal aansluitingen voor digitale tv is gegroeid tot 5,44 miljoen aan het eind van 2010, meldt Telecompaper in zijn kwartaalrapport over de Nederlandse televisiemarkt. In het vierde kwartaal kwamen er netto 177.200 digitale aansluitingen bij, ofwel 3,4 procent. Over heel 2010 is het aantal digitale abonnementen met 15 procent gegroeid. The Dutch digital TV market will grow to over 6 million subscribers in 2011, according to market researcher Telecompaper. In 2010, the market grew 15 percent to 5.44 million subscribers at year-end.
