KPN remains a possible takeover target, according to a report from Dutch paper de Telegraaf, following a stock price hike. Unnamed sources told the paper that EQT and Stonepeak want to make another attempt at negotiating a bid with KPN. EQT already owns the operator Delta Fiber and wants to merge the network with KPN.
KPN announced earlier this month that it had rejected two takeover approaches. In addition to EQT and Stonepeak, the investment fund KKR was interested in making an offer. KPN said no negotiations were held.
