Nokia Siemens tries to renegotiate Motorola deal - report
Nokia Siemens Networks is seeking to renegotiate its acquisition of the networks business of Motorola Solutions, two people close to the situation told Bloomberg. NSN wants to exclude the GSM activities from the deal and renegotiate the price accordingly in order to win antitrust approval from the Chinese government, according to the report. Nokia Siemens said earlier that it would not make its Q1 deadline for closing the deal, as the Chinese government is still investigating the transaction. A spokesman for Nokia Siemens Networks declined to comment on the report.
