HMD Global launches updated Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 smartphones

Nokia brand licence owner HMD Global has announced the launch of the 2018 versions of the Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 smartphones, claiming up to 50 percent higher performance and larger screens. The Nokia 5.1 now comes with a 5.5-inch display, a MediaTek Helio P18 processor plus 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 16-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel front camera and runs on the Android One OS. It will be available in July for EUR 189, with the 3GB RAM/64GB version costing EUR 219.

The Nokia 3.1 also runs on the Android One OS and will be available in June starting at EUR 139. It has a 5.2-inch display and a MediaTek 6750 octa-core chipset as well as either 2GB or 3GB of RAM plus 32GB or 64GB of storage.

Finally, the budget Nokia 2.1 smartphone boasts a 5.5-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor as well as a 4,000mAh battery. It will be available in July at a global price of EUR 115 and runs on the Android Oreo (Go edition).
