Twitter has appointed a new head of product, taken from Yes, a newly acquired consumer mobile app startup, Recode reported. Under the purchase transaction, CEO Keith Coleman will join Twitter along with six other Yes employees, all in product and design roles. Coleman will take over the day-to-day leadership of “Bluebird,” the core Twitter app and service.
Twitter declined to comment on deal terms. As a result of the deal, Yes will shut down its two mobile apps, wyd, for sharing status updates, and Frenzy, for making plans with friends.
