Vodafone UK has announced a new dedicated youth mobile offering called Voxi, targeting customers aged 25 and under. Available from 08 September, the Voxi SIM will allow users to use selected social media and chat apps as much as they want without affecting their data allowance. It will also offer unlimited calls and texts with a selection of 30-day 4G plans.
Customers will be able to purchase a 2GB plan for GBP 10, a 5GB plan for GBP 15 or a 15GB data plan for GBP 20. Users can add extra data for GBP 3 per GB. Unlimited use of social media and chat apps applies in the UK and inside the Europe Zone while users have data left on their allowance. It covers Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat and Viber.
Vodafone plans to expand the Voxi offering with passes that allow customers to use video and music apps without eating their data allowance. To ensure that Voxi is relevant to the target youth audience, all content on marketing channels will be created by a community of young UK artists, designers and filmmakers.
