Last week in telecoms: M&A at Ericsson and Orange BE, new fibre companies in Greece and Austria

Big takeovers were announced last week, including KKR's bid for TIM, Orange in talks to buy Belgium's Voo and Ericsson taking over Vonage. New fibre operators were started in Greece and Austria, and Disney was ramping up its content budget to overtake Netflix. Privacy regulation took centre stage in new proposals from the EDPB as well as the new German government, Unesco and the European Commission.
