Summary: Sweden-based private equity investor EQT is considering a takeover bid for Dutch operator KPN, Bloomberg has reported. The process is still at an early stage, according to the report's unnamed sources. KPN's shares were down 15 percent in the year to date, before the news report. Since then they have risen by a similar amount. The group is valued at EUR 9.4 billion, or around EUR 16 billion including debt, which would make it EQT's biggest acquisition to date.
