IoT chipmaker Sequans Communications said it has completed the redemption of all its remaining convertible debt issued in July 2025. Finalising this operation provides the company with increased financial flexibility, reflecting a near debt-free balance sheet. Azeri state-owned holding company Azcon is continuing work on combining the companies AzinTelecom, Aztelekom and postal services provider Azerpost as a single ecosystem, according to Report, citing Azcom CEO Shakhin Babayev. The work is focusing on synergies among internal processes. Babayev also said that Azerbaijan plans to start exploitation of the satellite Azerspace-3 by the end of 2029. The project is related to the approaching life expiry of Azerspace-1.

Brazilian telecommunications regulatory agency Anatel has given its preliminary approval for Claro's acquisition of Desktop. This deal, valued by Claro at BRL 4 billion with a payment of BRL 2.4 billion, represents the largest instance of a major operator acquiring a mid-sized one. Telefonica Germany will cease the service to exchange MMS messages from 01 July. The company started the service through its O2 brand in 2002. Adtran has settled a US legal action filed in 2020 by an unnamed, "non-practising" patent holder. According to the announcement, the plaintiff had sought to assert five patents, but had its case transferred to Alabama's northern district court following a motion filed by Adtran. Adtran then filed counterclaims including a bid to have the plaintiff's original action ruled as being in bad faith under Alabama statutory law.

The number of fixed telephony customers in Portugual reached 4.4 million in Q1 2026, a decrease of 60,000 (1.3%) year-on-year, according to Anacom data. Bundled offers accounted for 98.0 percent of fixed telephone lines.

Nearly two-thirds (65.0%) of Spanish households with an internet connection subscribed to more than one paid online video platform in the final quarter of 2025, up 1.7 percent year on year, according to a consumer survey conducted by regulator CNMC. Specifically, 25.5 percent of households were signed up to two SVOD platforms, 18.6 percent to three and 21.2 percent to four or more.

Russian mobile operator T2, a subsidiary of national operator Rostelecom, has implemented a new network monitoring system called Pult from Russian company Laboratory Chislitel. The project has been carried out in cooperation with the IT company Infosystems Jet. Pult enables monitoring of remote infrastructure even in the case of a data centre blackout. It monitors more than 30,000 network assets across the country.

The management council of Russian national operator Rostelecom has recommended that the general shareholders meeting approve a RUB 2.71 dividends per ordinary and preference share from the operator's 2025 results. Russian national operator Rostelecom and subsidiary Mango Telecom led the Russian PBX market in 2025, according to a study by TMT Consulting. Its market share by subscriber base was 35 percent. The national PBX market value reachedRUB 34.4 billion in 2025, up by 17.1 percent from 2024. The subscriber base for PBX services was 540,700 companies, up by 2.3 percent.

Russian operator MTS has started offering its B2C customers an opportunity to make instant money transfers using the Multitransfer payment system in its shops.
