Italian operator WindTre has reactivated a dedicated unlimited data plan in its Go-branded range for customers porting their number from certain rival providers. The Go Unlimited XXS 5G Digital plan comes with unlimited minutes to all national landline and mobile numbers plus 100 SMS to all national numbers as well as unlimited data at fastest possible 5G speeds for EUR 4.99 a month.

The Tap to Pay feature is now available on iPhones in South Africa, allowing local merchants to accept in-person contactless payments directly on an iPhone without needing extra hardware or payment terminals. DNA picks Harmonic SeaStar node to expand multi-gigabit broadband to brownfield MDUs

Harmonic said that Telenor's Finnish operator, DNA, is expanding multi-gigabit services into lower-density multi-dwelling units (MDUs) with Harmonic's SeaStar optical node. SeaStar enables DNA to provide fibre-grade connectivity to brownfield MDU environments that have traditionally been difficult to serve because of permitting complexities and high rewiring costs. This expands DNA's addressable market beyond the current subscriber base.

Ericsson and Net Feasa have announced a partnership to deploy onboard 4G and 5G connectivity systems for the maritime sector, targeting container shipping and supply chain monitoring applications. Telia Estonia reports drop in incoming spam calls in 2026

Telia Estonia announced that its anti-spam systems blocked 223,000 calls to its network in April. The figure has fallen steadily since the start of the year, from 858,000 calls blocked in March, 2.290 million in February and 2.150 million in January. The operator said the upgrade of its anti-spam system was the main reason for the decline. In 2025, the operator blocked around 24 million spam calls.

The Plenitude Fibra brand of Italian electricity and gas provider Eni Plenitude has substantially expanded its offering after reaching an agreement to access the network of wholesale operator FiberCop, according to documents seen by Mondo Mobile Web. The operator's plans were previously only available in areas covered by the Open Fiber network but can now also be accessed via FiberCop's network at download speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps (FTTH) and 200 Mbps (FTTC).

ER-Telecom revenues up 9% in Q1

Revenues of Russian operator ER-Telecom Holding totaled RUB 27.65 billion in the first quarter of this year, up by 9 percent year-on-year, reports Finmarket.ru. The net profit of the company jumped to RUB 2.58 billion from just RUB 9 million a year ago thanks to a drop in internet rates and a 22 percent increase in OIBDA to RUB 14.2 billion. ​Revenues grew by 18 percent in the B2C segment, and the growth reacjed 2 percent in the B2B segment.

Liberty Latin America has announced the appointment of Ignacio Roman as SVP, General Manager of Liberty Puerto Rico and the the US Virgin Islands. The executive has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having previously work held management positions in companies such as Vodafone, Avantel and Digicel. Most recently, he led Liberty Latin America's B2C commercial operations in Panama.

Senegal, Turkey telecom regulators agree to strengthen cooperation

Senegal and Turkey have signed an agreement to boost bilateral cooperation across telecommunications, digital services, and postal regulations. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was finalised by Senegal's Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARTP) and Turkey's Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) on the sidelines of the World Regulators Symposium in Ankara.

Applications from shareholders will be accepted from 10 June to 13 September.

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) said its STT Seoul 1 facility in South Korea has achieved the Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Design Documents (TCDD).
