Airtel Money and Stanbic Bank have launched mobile wallet payments on POS machines in Zambia, letting businesses with existing Stanbic POS devices the method, increasing convenience for merchants and consumers. Customers can pay for goods and services at Stanbic merchant locations using their mobile phones. KPN announced a 3.3 percent annual increase in rates for its internet and TV packages from July 2026. Mexico's telecommunications regulator CRT is allowing mobile operators to automatically link postpaid lines to the CURP (Unique Population Registry Code) database using customer data already on file, even without seeking fresh consent, according to a report in business daily Expansion.
