It focuses on generative training models and on providing digital services for B2G and B2B customers.

Five foreign companies submit bids to construct KazSat-3R satellite

Five foreign companies have submitted bids for the construction of Kazakhstan's KazSat-3R satellite, reports Profit.kz. They are China Great Wall Industry Corporation, Shanghai Engineering Center for Microsatellites, Russian company Glavkosmos, Finnish company ReOrbit and Turkish Aerospace Industries. Invitations were sent out to 40 global companies in December 2025 and a contract is due to be concluded by the end of this year.

Ukrainian operator Kyivstar has started official sales of services from Starlink to business and B2G customers in Ukraine. Supplies of end-user terminals are due to be start soon. Sales of the services became possible following an agreement between Kyivstar and Starlink concluded on 06 May. Customers can choose either tariffs for services on Ukrainian networks, or tariffs for foreign use.

Megafon leads by mobile broadband speed in Moscow in H2

Russian operator Megafon said that it led the market by mobile broadband speed in Moscow in the second half of 2025, according to a study by the company Megabitus. The average download speed on Megafon's network in the capital city was 58.9 Mbps and the average upload speed was 16.77 Mbps. Its download speed was 30 percent faster than that of its nearest competitor.

The Swansea Bay City Region secured digital connectivity investment worth GBP 44.8 million during 2024/25, according to the new report from Farrpoint. This includes GBP 2.2 million through the Swansea Bay City Deal Infrastructure Programme, which was used to fund major projects such as the PSBA Full Fibre Infrastructure Build and the Dark Fibre East project.

Russian operator MTS said that its cybersecurity service Secure Internet blocked more than 10 million connections to harmful websites in the first quarter of this year. It claims to have improved the quality of the service using AI agents working in real time. The accuracy of its filtering has reached 95 percent, MTS adds.

Kcell revenues rise 13% in Q1

Revenues of Kazakh operator Kcell reached KZT 68.50 billion in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 13.38 percent year-on-year. It said services revenues in Q1 amounted to KZT 54.25 billion, up by 9.85 percent. EBITDA increased by 21.08 percent to KZT 26.10 billion and net profit soared by 258.13 percent to KZT 4.29 billion.

T-Mobile Poland has started offering the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Xiaomi 17T 5G smartphones in its shops. The Galaxy A57 5G costs PLN 1,299 and the price of the Xiaomi 17T 5G is PLN 2,399. The phones are available at promotional rates for customers signing up to plans from the operator.
