UK telcos sign govt charter to stopin-contract price increases

The UK government has secured commitments from leading broadband and mobile operators to stop unexpected bill increases under the new Telecoms Consumer Charter. Telecoms providers including BT, VodafoneThree, Virgin Media O2, TalkTalk and Sky, have all signed the new Charter. It is also supported by the Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA) and Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) trade groups.

Radcom meets FY guidance as Q4 sales rise 16%

Radcom reported fourth-quarter revenues of USD 18.9 million, up 15.9 percent year-on-year. Its FY25 turnover climbed 17.2 percent to USD 71.5 million, reaching a record high and finishing in the upper half of Radcom's 15-18 percent growth estimate. The company has achieved sales growth in each of the last six fiscal years.

ECJ allows WhatsApp to appeal EUR 225 million privacy fine

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has given WhatsApp the go-ahead to challenge a EUR 225 million fine imposed by Ireland's Data Protection Commission (DPC) in 2021 for breaching EU GDPR data privacy laws. The ECJ ruled that the company had a right to contest the fine, overturning the decision of the lower General Court, and referring the case back to the General Court for a ruling on its merits.

UK broadcaster Channel 4 said streaming viewer minutes were up 25 percent year-on-year in January 2026, outgrowing all other major streamers. Views of full episodes of Channel 4 shows on YouTube were up 15 percent year-on-year in January. Viewers aged 16-34 streamed half (50%) of their total Channel 4 viewing in January, more than any other commercial broadcaster. The metrics are based on data collected by TV ratings agency Barb.

The Higher Regional Court of Duesseldorf has ruled that Deutsche Telekom is entitled to receive EUR 30 million from Edge Network Services, a subsidiary of Meta, for exchanging data over its network.
