Information on GDPR

On 25th May 2018, the new European Union (EU) data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes effect. The GDPR gives individuals in the EU more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on businesses that process information of those individuals. Telecompaper and it's subsidiaries (www.gsmhelpdesk.nl) are fully committed to complying with the GDPR by the regulation’s effective date.

What are we doing?

  • In preparation for GDPR, we have been reviewing and updating, where necessary, all internal processes, procedures, systems and documentation to ensure that we are compliant with GDPR by its effective date. While a lot of our preparations are happening behind the scenes, we are working on a number of initiatives that will be visible to our subscribers, users, visitors, and clients. Please see below for details and information around our GDPR preparations.

Our Privacy Policy

  • In preparation for GDPR we have updated our Privacy Policy. We value your privacy and want you to understand the choices you have relating to your personal information and your inbox. Please review our updated policies to ensure you understand the changes that have been put in place.

Data Privacy Officer

  • Ed Achterberg has been appointed as the Telecompaper Data Privacy Officer (DPO). You may contact Ed by email at DPO@telecompaper.com

User Data

  • Our privacy policy describes what data we collect and how we use it. If you have any questions about your personal data, or would like to request that your data be removed from our system, you may contact us by email at GDPR@telecompaper.com.

Your Subscription(s)

  • Because we do not paywall part of our news, and provide part of it as a free service (including our free newsletters tp:todat and tp:vandaag), advertising is a important means to support our business. Our website is partly funded through web ads, newsletter sponsorship, sponsored content and standalone emails. We value your privacy and want to provide an excellent reader experience. As a part of this effort, we would like to give you the option to review your subscription and opt-out of any emails that you do not want to receive.
  • Please visit your own subscription page to review your current subscription, make any changes, and/or opt-out of anything you do not want to receive.
