Vodafone Spain debuts device security service for SMEs

Vodafone Spain's business arm, Vodafone Empresas, has launched a service for small and medium-sized enterprises that combines device management, IT support and cybersecurity protection, with prices starting at EUR 5.60 per user a month. Ooredoo Kuwait said it has achieved a regional first in 5G-Advanced innovation, successfully demonstrating 1024 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (1024QAM) combined with 8×8 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (8×8 MIMO) on its live network. Done using existing spectrum resources and commercial devices, the demonstration showed that combining 1024QAM with eight-layer single-user MIMO more than doubled peak throughput, delivering a 108 percent performance boost over conventional 256QAM and 4×4 MIMO configurations.

Zattoo confirms Rodriguez as permanent CEO

European television streaming provider Zattoo said its board of directors has appointed Tina Rodriguez as CEO on a permanent basis. She has held the position on an interim basis since April this year after Roger Elsener's departure from Zattoo. Hyperscale developer Nscale has submitted a registration statement to the US securities regulator, outlining its proposed listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). BBC cash reserves drop 66 percent in last year - report

The BBC's cash reserves have dropped by 66 percent over the last financial year to GBP 125 million, from GBP 369 million in 2025, reports The Guardian. The newspaper's analysis shows this is the lowest level of cash reserves at the public service arm of the organisation in 10 years. The BBC is currently working to reduce costs by GBP 500 million, including the loss of up to 2,000 jobs.

Netherlands video revenues grow 2.5% in Q2, helped by Videoland success

The pay-TV and video market in the Netherlands grew 2.5 percent year-on-year in the second quarter to revenues of EUR 767 million, research by Telecompaper shows. The traditional TV operators still take 56 percent of revenues, but their share is falling, while online services had a stable 27 percent of the market. The broadcasters are growing the most, led by RTL's Videoland, and increased their share of revenues to 16 percent.
