3 finished June with a total 25.6 million customers (21.0 million active), an increase of 9 percent over the six months. Postpaid net additions more than doubled from a year earlier to 1.969 million in the first half, giving a total postpaid base of 15.1 million at the end of June. ARPU was down 6 percent from the previous six months to EUR 22.40, of which 47 percent came from non-voice services.
Parent company Hutchison Whampoa said the group will continue to focus on increasing market share and operating efficiency, as well as moving away from subsidised handsets.
