66 percent of the German internet users purchases goods online
66 percent of the German internet users purchased goods online before Christmas 2002, an increase of 24 percent compared with 2001, according to research by TNSEMNID. 87 percent of the online shoppers received their ordered goods before Christmas and were satisfied about the services of online shops. The research company questioned 1005 internet users in Germany between December 25, 2002 and January 5, 2003 about their online shopping behaviour. 55% of the online purchased Christmas gifts were video tapes and books (50% in 2001), second were CDs with 41% (33% in 2001). The strongest growth was measured with clothing from 16% to 27% and toys and games grew from 10% to 25%.
