A1 sells stake in Telecom Liechtenstein to government

Austrian operator A1 has sold its 24.9 percent stake in Telecom Liechtenstein to the government of Liechtenstein. The majority of the shares in the company (75.1%) was already held by the principality of Liechtenstein. The minority stake is not fully consolidated in the financial results of A1. It will therefore not have an impact on the group’s revenues or operating result.

According to the shareholders' agreement, the partnership entered in 2014 provides for an ordinary termination option after five years, which A1 now is exercising. The short- to medium-term safeguarding of the services provided by A1TAG will not be affected.
