Activist Sky shareholder Elliott believes Sky price should be higher, at GBP 15.01 per share

Thursday 30 August 2018 | 13:22 CET | News
The UK Takeover Panel, which recently set a minimum bid price of GBP 14 per share for Sky should Disney be forced to buy the UK pay-TV provider, has published a document showing differing opinions at activist hedge fund Elliott and hedge funds Davidson Kempner and Farallon Capital. These believe Sky is worth more, at least GBP 15.01 per share, following Disney's improved offer for 21st Century Fox. Reuters calculated that this would value all of Sky at around GBP 26.4 billion, or USD 34.3 billion.
