AirtelTigo and BIMA pay out 50,000 insurance claims since service launch

Ghana operator AirtelTigo and BIMA, a provider of mobile delivered health and insurance services, have since the launch of AirtelTigo Insurance, paid out 50,000 claims worth GHS 22 million to insured families in the country.  Under the programme, AirtelTigo and BIMA provide AirtelTigo customers with insurance policies underwritten by Allianz Life Ghana and Prudential Life Ghana. More than 2 million Ghanaians are covered by the insurance service.
