Alcatel-Lucent will sell its 49.9 percent share of fibre optic venture Draka Comteq to Dutch group Draka for EUR 209 million. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year. Draka will own 100 percent of the company. The disposal will have no effect on Alcatel-Lucent's accounts since Draka Comteq's results were consolidated in Draka's. Draka Comteq is an optical fibre and optical fibre cable company created in July 2004 by combining the worldwide optical fibre and communication cable activities of Draka and Alcatel-Lucent.
