Amazon manages subscription payments for start-ups

Amazon.com is launching a new online payments service as it looks to take business from eBay-owned PayPal, reports Reuters. The service will manage subscription payments for start-ups and other companies, allowing customers to use credit card details stored on Amazon.com to pay for services such as a monthly phone bill or a digital music subscription. Amazon will then charge a free on each transaction. Amazon has tested the service over the past few months.
