Amazon, Seat join forces to sell cars online in France
Spanish car manufacturer Seat has teamed up with Amazon to sell exclusive versions of its Mii model on the web giant's French website in a campaign dubbed "DeliveryToEnjoy". In a statement, Seat said customers can order the car directly on a dedicated page on Amazon.fr, with home delivery promised within 72 hours. Initially, 15 units of the exclusive Mii model will be made available, all of which come with a unique accessory kit developed in collaboration with Spanish clothes design company Mango. Buyers can reserve one of the 15 exclusive units by making a EUR 500 deposit on Amazon.fr.

Fiat Chrysler, which recently cut a deal with Google on driverless cars, is now in talks with Uber about a similar partnership, Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, who expect the announcement of a venture by the end of the year. That said, talks are at a preliminary stage, and Uber is in discussions with several other carmakers. Fiat also has had initial contacts with Amazon.com Inc. on self-driving vehicles for the web retailer's deliveries, other sources said.
