Android reaches 900,000 devices activated each day
Google's Android OS has reached over 900,000 devices activated each day. The figure was announced in a tweet by Andy Rubin, head of mobile activities at Google. He also rejected rumours that he may be leaving Google, saying he has "no plans" to leave the company. An earlier report suggested he was leaving to head a new start-up called Cloud Car.

Google has updated its sales figures for Android devices, saying 850,000 are activated each day. Google mobile chief Andy Rubin said in a blog posting that activations are up by 250 percent in the past year and there are now more than 300 million Android devices in the world.
