Angry Birds Rio for Android to debut in Amazon Appstore
Rovio's Angry Birds Rio mobile game will be introduced for the Android platform exclusively in the Amazon Appstore. Developed in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox, Angry Birds Rio features the animated stars of the studio's upcoming motion picture, Rio. Additionally, Android mobile phone users will be able to purchase and download ad-free versions of Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons. Both will debut only in the Amazon Appstore. Angry Birds Rio will launch with 60 dedicated levels, with more content to follow via app updates.

Rovio racks up 10 mln downloads for Angry Birds Rio

Rovio's latest release, Angry Birds Rio, achieved 10 million downloads in its first ten days on the market. A free version of the game launched exclusively on Amazon's new Android app market and a paid version is also available for Apple devices. The game was later added for free on the Android Market. Rovio targets Nasdaq flotation

Rovio, creator of the Angry Birds mobile game, is targeting a flotation in New York. Rovio Mobile CEO Mikael Hed plans to take the company public in "the next few years". "We probably want to be in a marketplace that is as liquid as possible, which would probably mean Nasdaq is our stock exchange of choice", Hed told Bloomberg. Rovio raises USD 42 mln for Angry Birds expansion

Rovio, the creator of the popular Angry Birds mobile game, has raised USD 42 million in a Series A round of financing. The funding round was co-led by Accel Partners, the venture capital firm known for working with companies including Facebook, Groupon and AdMob, and Atomico Ventures, the venture capital firm created by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom. Telia Denmark launches 'Angry birds' contest with Nokia

Danish operator Telia Denmark in cooperation with Nokia launched a contest aimed at the players of the 'Angry birds' mobile game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile. Rovio launches Angry Birds Rio mobile game

Finnish mobile game developer Rovio's smart phone and tablet game Angry Birds, and motion picture event Rio are joining forces to create a new game, Angry Birds Rio. The launch is the result of a game development partnership between Rovio and Twentieth Century Fox.
