Apple announces record sales of iPhone 6s, 6s Plus
Apple announced that it has set a new record by selling over 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models in the first three days. The new smartphones were launched in the US and eleven other countries on 25 September. According to CEO Tim Cook, “Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history.”

The company confirmed that it will launch the new phones in over 40 more countries on 9 October, including Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan. 

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be released on 10 October in several more countries, including  Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Then on 16 October the new smartphones will be made available in India, Malaysia and Turkey. They are due to be on sale in over 130 countries by the end of the year.
