Apple brings Burberry CEO to executive team
Apple has created the new position of senior VP and appointed Angela Ahrendts, CEO of Burberry, to fill it, and to become a member of the executive team. Ahrendts will report to CEO Tim Cook. She will have oversight of the strategic direction, expansion and operation of both Apple retail and online stores. Ahrendts will join Apple in the spring.

Apple profits down despite record iPhone sales

Apple reported revenues stronger than expected for its fiscal fourth quarter to September, led by record sales of the iPhone. Revenues rose to USD 37.5 billion from USD 36 billion a year earlier, just better than Apple's outlook of USD 34-37 billion. The gross margin was also at the top of its outlook, at 37 percent versus 40 percent a year earlier. Airtel, RCom to sell iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s from November

Indian operators Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (RCom) will start selling Apple's iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphones in the country from 1 November, reports PTI. Airtel has started pre-bookings for the latest iPhones. Airtel said in a statement that interested customers can visit select Airtel Retail Stores for pre-registration. RCom said it will offer the iPhones to customers beginning on 1 November. The iPhone 5c will be available starting from about INR 42,000 and the iPhone 5s at INR 54,000,
