Apple Computer is gearing up to launch its combined iPod music player and mobile phone in the UK over the coming few weeks after reaching a deal with mobile network operator O2, reports The Times, without quoting its sources. Apple is set to launch the iPod phone with US carrier Cingular Wireless in the week beginning 05 September. O2 will have a period of exclusivity on the latest phone, according to the report.
