Apple preparing new credit card launch with Goldman Sachs - report

Apple is planning the introduction of a credit card, which it would co-brand with Goldman Sachs, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. These said the card could launch early next year. Apple, Goldman and Barclays all declined to comment on the report.

The cooperation with Goldman Sachs would replace Apple’s partnership with Barclays. The full product offering is still under development but it seems Goldman Sachs will also provide in-store loans to Apple customers buying iPhones and other devices and accessories. The planned card will also likely include perks for customers, the sources added.

The current Apple credit card with Barclays offers interest-free financing on Apple devices and points toward Apple gift cards.
