Apple raises EUR 2.8 billion in bond issue
Apple has raised EUR 2.8 billion in a bond issue, according to SEC filings. The company issued EUR 1.4 billion of notes due 2022 with a coupon of 1.0 percent and EUR 1.4 billion of notes due 2026 with interest of 1.625 percent. Both the issues will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and are rated AA+ by S&P.

Apple announces record quarterly revenues of USD 75 bln

Apple posted record quarterly revenue of USD 74.6 billion for its fiscal first quarter to December, up from USD 57.6 billion a year earlier. The result was well ahead of the company's forecast of USD 63.5-66.5 billion. Net profit rose to USD 18 billion or USD 3.06 per diluted share from USD 13.1 billion or USD 2.07 per share. Apple plans eurobond issue

Apple is considering issuing its first-ever bonds denominated in a currency other than dollars. The company spoke with investors 03 November about issuing bonds, and a euro-denominated deal is expected as early as 04 November, a person familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. Investor Carl Icahn asks Apple to step up share repurchase

Apple CEO Tim Cook has received another letter from activist investor Carl Icahn, marking the second time the shareholder as lobbied Apple to advance its repurchase programme, reported TechCrunch. The letter commends Apple on its recent iPhone 6 launch and Cook on his leadership, however it also asks Apple to "meaningfully accelerate and increase the magnitude of share repurchases," in light of "the persistently excessive liquidity of USD 133 billion net cash on Apple's balance sheet."
