Apple seeks US sales ban on Samsung Galaxy S III
Apple has filed a lawsuit in the US requesting a sales ban on Samsung Electronics' latest smartphone. Apple filed for preliminary injunctions against the Galaxy S III in the District Court for the Northern District of California, accusing Samsung of infringing on Apple's user interface patents, the Wall Street Journal reports. Samsung said Apple's claim is "without merit" and will be opposed. Samsung earlier announced plans to launch the phone with five carriers in the US this month.

Apple asks German court to ban Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N

Apple has asked the appeals court in Duesseldorf to ban sales of Samsung's tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1N. The modified tablet was launched after German courts had banned its predecessor Galaxy 10.1 in 2011, following a patent infringement claim by Apple. A spokesman of the company said that Samsung did not change the device sufficiently. At a hearing earlier on 05 June, Apple asked the same Duesseldorf court to extend a sales ban it won against Samsung's Galaxy 7.7 tablet computer in Germany to other EU countries

Five US carriers to launch Galaxy S III

US operators including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile USA, Verizon Wireless and US Cellular will launch the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone beginning in June starting from USD 199. Exact pricing and retail availability will be announced by each of the five carriers in the coming weeks. Pre-sales are expected to start 05 June, and the device will be in shops from 21 June. Sprint and Verizon announced that they will sell the 16GB version for USD 199.99 and the 32GB model for USD 249.99 (excluding taxes) for customers
