Apple starts TV ad campaign on how it takes privacy seriously
Apple has started a TV ad campaign to outline its position on data privacy, as the company looks to differentiate itself from companies such as Google and Facebook, Reuters reported. The 45-second adverts were introduced in the US on 14 March and will be shown during the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s annual “March Madness” basketball tournament that draws millions of viewers. The ad will be shown in other countries later, but Apple declined to say whether it would air in China or how much it was spending on the campaign.

The commercial shows people looking to keep their privacy, by closing doors, window shutters or shower curtains and has the tag line: “If privacy matters in your life, it should matter to the phone your life is on. Privacy. That’s iPhone.”
