Archos to launch 5G rugged smartphone across Europe

Mobile device maker Archos and its subsidiary Logic Instrument announced the forthcoming launch of the X67 5G smartphone, a 5G-compatible handset protected by a rugged casing and compliant with the IP68 and IP69K standards. This new addition is resistant to drops of up to 1.5 metres, and can be submerged in water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 metres.

Running on Android 10, it comes with a 6.67-inch screen and Corning Gorilla Glass display, and is equipped with a MediaTek CPU and 8 GB of RAM. Its main selling points include an 8,000 mAh battery and a 48 MP Sony main camera (one of four cameras at the rear).

The smartphone is priced EUR 599 and will be available from the beginning of February across Europe.
