Asus unveils Zenpad tablets, Zenfone Selfie
Asus unveiled at Computex a range of new products in its Zen mobile device range, including the Zenpad tablets and a new Zenwatch. The premium Zenpad range comes with a choice of 7-, 8- and 10-inch HD IPS displays and Wi-Fi and 3G/LTE connectivity. To enhance the entertainment experience, they feature Asus's Tru2Life and TruVivid technologies for TV-like viewing and DTS Premium Sound technology for high-fidelity sound. The 8-inch model comes in an alternative S version with 4 GB RAM, Intel Atom Z3580 processor and the Z Stylus for writing on the screen, while the 10-inch Zenpad also has an optional keyboard. Asus also offers a range of cases for the Zen 8.0, to change the back cover's colour, add 5.1-channel surround sound or a Power Case to extend the tablet's battery life.

Asus also showed the new Zenwatch 2, which adds an optional 18-mm band to the original Zenwatch and a choice of three colours. The watch runs Android Wear and a Qualcomm processor. For the smartphone market, Asus introduced the ZenFone Selfie with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. Featuring front and rear 13MP PixelMaster cameras with dual-color and dual LED Real Tone flash, the ZenFone Selfie promises beautiful, natural-looking selfies in high resolution. The rear camera features a large f/2.0 aperture lens and laser auto-focus technology, and the ZenUI Beautification mode softens facial features, slims cheeks and enhances skin tone. The ZenFone Selfie also has Selfie Panorama mode, which exploits ZenFone Selfie’s f/2.2-aperture front lens and 88-degree field of view to capture panoramic selfies of up to 140 degrees. The phone comes with the new Snapdragon 615 octa-core, 64-bit processor.
