AT&T has introduced a new unlimited mobile data offer. From 12 January, new and existing AT&T consumer customers with a smartphone who have or add AT&T DirecTV or AT&T U-Verse TV will be able to sign up to the new AT&T Unlimited Plan, getting unlimited data, talk and text for USD 100 per month. Additional smartphones cost USD 40 per month each, and a fourth smartphone can be added at no additional cost. Tablets connected to the plan will cost an additional USD 40, or USD for 1GB, while watches will cost an additional USD 10.
For a limited time, new or existing DirecTV or U-Verse TV subscribers who are not AT&T mobile subscribers will be able to get USD 500 in credits when they switch to the AT&T Unlimited Plan with an eligible trade-in, and buy a smartphone on AT&T Next. Those who are an AT&T mobile customer but not a DirecTV subscriber can add a TV package from USD 19.99 per month for 12 months, with a 24-month contract.
AT&T said the new unlimited plan is the first of many integrated video and mobility offers the company plans to announce this year. The carrier also wants to launch a wide-range of new video entertainment options later this year.
