AT&T reduces stake in America Movil
AT&T has reduced its stake in Latin American carrier America Movil. According to a SEC filing, AT&T sold 540 million shares in America Movil in the open market in May and early June. The company said in a statement to Bloomberg that the share sale is part of efforts to maintain its stake at about 9 percent and compensate for America Movil's recent share buyback programme. The sale of the shares is worth about USD 564 million.

AT&T reports strong customer growth in Q2

AT&T reported strong customer additions in the second quarter. At a meeting with analysts the US operator said it saw stronger U-verse broadband and TV subscriber growth versus the year-earlier quarter and added a net 500,000 postpaid mobile customers in the quarter.
