AT&T, unions continue talks
Employees at AT&T will continue to work despite their collective agreement with the company expiring at midnight on 08 April. Over 40,000 workers represented by the CWA union earlier agreed to hold strike action if they could not reach a new agreement with the company. They will continue to work as talks continue with the company. Contract conditions remain the same until a new agreement is reached.

AT&T southwest workers approve deal with CWA

AT&T's wireless employees in its Southwest Region (CWA District 6) have voted to ratify a four-year agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA). The agreement, which was reached on 4 March, covers about 8,800 CWA members in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. The new four-year contract is retroactive to 25 February.

AT&T unions authorize strike action

AT&T is facing a possible strike among 40,000 employees after failing to reach a new agreement with unions. Members of the east and west branches of the Communications Workers of America union voted to allow the CWA president to call a strike if a contract agreement cannot be reached by 08 April, when the existing contract expires. Similar to ongoing negotiations at Verizon, the talks centre on reforms to benefits such as healthcare for employees.
