AT&T activates dynamic spectrum sharing on 5G network

AT&T announced it has started using Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) on part of its 5G network. The technology allows the operator to share the same radio frequencies for 4G and 5G services, alternating as needed. The software upgrade means the company can avoid the process of re-farming spectrum in the near term, AT&T noted.
