AT&T launches IoT platform with Blues Wireless, to implement 5G functionalities into SD-WAN

AT&T is collaborating with Ray Ozzie, former CTO and Chief Software Architect at Microsoft, and his new company Blues Wireless to launch Notecard, a System-on-Module (SOM) that combines prepaid cellular connectivity, low-power hardware design, simple software design, and secure communications into a single platform. AT&T will provide the connectivity. In related news, AT&T said it's working with VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud to implement 5G functionalities into its SD-WAN to give businesses new levels of network control.
