AT&T tests IoT switch for driverless vehicles

AT&T said it conducted a successful trial of a switch allowing the fast exchange of data between devices made by different manufacturers, a crucial stage in making driverless vehicles a practical reality. The so-called white box field trial demonstrated that the software handling the necessary realtime data was able to function regardless of the hardware involved.
