AT&T to soon launch skinny streaming service called Watch
AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said the company is planning to soon launch a new streaming service called AT&T Watch, set to provide a low-cost bundle of channels and aimed at encouraging mobile viewing, CNN reported. The CEO made the statement while testifying in an antitrust trial. Stephenson was there to defend the bid AT&T for Time Warner, parent of CNN. The government believes the deal will harm consumers; Stephenson believes the opposite and cited “Watch” as an example. He said the skinny cable bundle will cost less than a traditional cable package because it includes fewer channels and that AT&T does not want to stop innovation in streaming services.

A company spokesperson said after that "Watch" is expected to launch in the "next several weeks" and that it will be available to anyone regardless of who they get wireless or broadband service from. It will be free for people with AT&T unlimited wireless service. No pricing details were provided.
